Congratulations again to Dennis Engstrom! Dennis was at our Rotary Club meeting last week to receive his championship accolades and the $500 winner's check.
Week 17 begins on Saturday, December 29th with the Patriots & Tom Brady traveling to the Meadowlands to play Eli manning & the Giants. The remainder of the Week 17 schedule is played on Sunday. -Mark Judy

As our Rotary Club football challenge enters the final week, 3 players remain in contention for the $250 consolation prize. Rob Bolio maintains a 5 point lead over yours truly and a 38 point lead over Mark Rice. The Silvis gang of Dave Emerick & Jim Grafton gracefully bowed out this week as they were forced to go for the bigger point picks of the Browns (32 points) and Buccs (25 points) with both of those teams losing today. Rob, Mark & I will be figuring strategy this week, trying to outguess each other and the NFL head coaches who are trying to figure out if they should be resting their players for the playoffs or what players have already secretly finalized their vacation plans for January and beyond.

Jim Grafton wins Rookie of the Year honors by playing well and going all the way to Week 16 in his 1st year of participation in the football challenge. Dave Emerick was an obvious second place finisher with Carl (stuck at 100) Freeman finishing third.
