World's Largest Polio Walk 2026

The East Moline–Silvis Rotary Club helped sponsor and participated in the Quad Cities’ portion of The World’s Largest Polio Walk on Saturday, October 24. Alongside members of 12 local Rotary clubs, participants walked across the I-74 Bridge to raise funds and awareness for Rotary International’s longstanding mission to eradicate polio worldwide.

Thanks to decades of global vaccination efforts, polio cases have been reduced by more than 99% since Rotary began its eradication campaign. However, the fight is not over. Until polio is eliminated everywhere, children remain at risk.

East Moline–Silvis Rotary is proud to stand alongside Rotarians around the world in this vital effort. We believe in a world free of polio, and we are committed to helping make that vision a reality—one step at a time.
